Gadchiroli Workshop - Day Two

Everybody relaxes with a group game
The yatra theater program will grow out of these ten days in Gadchiroli. Not only will the participants be chosen but the drama will be worked out (under the expert tutelage of Ramlalji, a puppeteer and dramatist from Dehradun, Uttarakhand). Key to this process is that everyone here feels confident and bonds with each other: it is no easy thing to travel around in a van for weeks an months (and years!) on end.

Dancing after lunch is mandatory

Swastikaji, a women's rights activist who is helping our with our project, gets involved too!

Today we also received a visit from some local dignitaries. The vice-chancellor of Gondwana University, a representative from the state Finance Commission (who happened to be in town) and the District CEO all came to see what was going on here. They all seemed mightily impressed with CGNet's mission and were all keen to hear more. It is important to make these connections with officials: sometimes it makes it easier to solve callers problems if there is an established relationship.

Everybody greets the Vice Chancellor, Finance Commission member and District CEO

After all the fun and games it is still important that all the guys here know CGNet's mobile service inside and out so we split into groups and practice recordings; just like at any other workshop.
